My Winter Nail Polish Picks

From left to right:
MaxFactor Glossfinity in 160 RASPBERRY BLUSH
NewLook Pure Colour in 99 MULTI
Accessorize Nail Polish (there's no name on the bottle that I can see)

I can safely say that I am a nail polish junky. It was so hard for me to narrow it down to just 9 colours, but I truly love these. Personally I think that the MaxFactor ones are the best nail polishes for a lot of reasons. The colour range to choose from is amazingly large, they dry up quickly and if you're like me and you're a bit lazy when it comes to applying a top coat, there's no need for these ones because the stay on power is amazingly great - I go for 4-5 days without a chip and when applied, it has that gel look effect to it which is a bonus. The new New Look nail polish range is pretty good as well. There's a quite amount of colours to choose from as well and they don't chip immediately too. Also, The Body Shop has released their new line of nail polishes a few months ago and of coarse I had to get and try some. My favorite is Gorgeous Grey but unfortunately if you don't apply a really good top coat it will chip the day after. I have it on my nails at the moment and I applied it like last Monday and two of my nails have literally nothing on them, which is a shame since I am a huge fan of their products. Accessorize make some nice nail polishes too but I don't know if it's just my bottle but there's no name on it. But other than that the quality is great and I love the colour so much. Lastly there's the Barry M one which I particularly use during Christmas time on top of Raspberry Blush - will post a picture of the nails when done over my Instagram)

Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Up for a sweet treat? Having people for dinner/tea/lunch, and you don't have anything for desert nor the time?
Then this, ladies and gentlemen is the recipe for you. You can never go wrong with a brownie except if the people you're baking for are diabetic, then you should reconsider in making these goodies.

Ingredients:
250g Unsalted Butter
200g Dark Chocolate
75g White Chocolate
360g Caster Sugar
65g Plain Flour
80g Cocoa Powder
1 tspn Baking Powder
4 Eggs

What you will need:
Large Mixing Bowl
Sifter
Measuring Scale
Baking Sheet
Baking Tin
Teaspoon
Wooden Spoon

The Method:

This recipe is super easy guys and it should take you around 30 minutes to make and another 30 minutes to bake. The first thing that every recipe tells you to do is to preheat your oven, in this case at 175 degrees C/345 Fahrenheit. Afterwards, prepare all the ingredients mentioned above and weigh them. I'd like to mention as well that you can always make some modifications to it, for instance because I am lactose intolerant, I used vegan butter (that's why it looks white) instead of the usual dairy butter. Also by all means you can reduce the amount of sugar because it's a HUGE amount and you can make it healthier as you wish.

Now that you have weighed all the ingredients, place the dark chocolate and the butter in one bowl and put it in the microwave for about 3 minutes to melt. If a microwave is not available, place them on a burner.
Once you've achieved a creamy consistency like the one above, it is time to just put the other ingredients except the eggs in and start mixing. You can always add to the texture anything that you would like to.
Now that you're ready and you've achieved that, crack those eggs and beat them - (if you don't know how to, trust me and seize for some help, or you'll end up with your egg smashed on your carpet or so) and add them to the mixture and once more mix it altogether.

The next step is to put the texture in the baking tin with the baking sheet on top so that it would be easier to get the brownie out and and it will not stick to the tin. (What I do with the baking sheet is that I put it under running water before I place it in, so that it will take the shape of the tin easily). Place the mixture all nice and evenly and pop it in the oven.
We can move on for the uninteresting part of the whole baking thing - washing those dirty dishes, which I tend to leave them for my brother to do. Instead, in the meantime I like to watch some YouTube videos, or read some blog posts or just play a game on my iPad.

30-35 minutes have passed, and it's time for the one big brownie to come out of the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. At this time you will be tempted to taste the brownie, but I am assuring you that it's not worth to try (you will burn your tongue and when the brownie is nice and cool to eat you will not taste it). Once it has cooled down, take a knife and cut into 16 pieces, place it on a plate with some ice-cream or strawberries or yogurt or you can just leave it plain like I did and start digging in. Trust me when I say, they are delicious.

Disclaimer: I am not your excuse if you went up a dress size, control yourself! haha.
I hope that you enjoyed this recipe and try it yourself and if you do so please instagram me your pictures using the #casualscrollingsbrownies because I'm a nosy and like to see what other people come up with.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Top 5 Lipsticks for Spring.

Spring is behind the door and what is better than having bright and fun colored lips?!
I am a sucker for bright lips, because I think that they give a sweet touch to the complete look. So, since Spring is approaching (although it doesn't seem like it) I thought I'd share my top 5 bright colors that I like to wear during this season and also during Summer.
Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Celestial
This little one right here is quite popular on this blog and I can explain why. - It is the most beautiful natural color that you can put on your lips with whatever make up you're wearing:- smoky, natural, EVERYHTING. And I know I said that I will share with you 5 bright colors, but I love this one so much that I couldn't just leave it behind. Well, I guess you all know how nice these lip lacquers stay on your lips and they stay on for a pretty long time and the longer they stay, the prettier the color turns.
Topshop Lips in Infrared
This bright orangey color is so pretty, (that I just want to make love to it haha). I have to admit that you have to be quite brave to wear this color, but I love to wear it with a very light and simple look. Also it gives me confidence when I'm wearing it. It is very pigmented and since it's a matte color it stays on for a pretty long time.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in 20
I love almost all Kate Moss's lipsticks in her collection and this is one of them. It's a nice bright pink which completes that sweet, candy look that you want to achieve. I have to say that this might be the most worn lipstick from my collection in Spring. Also it is pigmented and stays on for a long time as well, although if you are going to eat something you might touch it a bit because it tends to fade away in the middle of the lips and you will look weird.
Revlon Super Lustrous  Lipstick in Fire & Ice
This is my first lipstick that I have ever purchased when I was 14. Four years later, and this one is still one of my favorites. It's a hot, creamy coral lipstick which I like to wear on a daily basis especially with some mascara and cat flick eyeliner. I just love it!
Revlon Lipstick in Fuchsia
For me Revlon lipsticks are one of the best lipsticks out there especially from this line. This one is quite similar to the Kate Moss's one but this might be a bit brighter and the formulation of it is a bit better. I really love the packaging of this one as well, the color on the top of the cap makes it much easier for me to identify which color is it.
Also this is a little swatch of the lipsticks mentioned in this post.
I hope that this little post was helpful and interesting for you all.

Question of the post - What are your favorite lip colors to wear during the Spring season?

Comment your answers down below, and if you have a similar post, put the url down below and I will be more than happy to check it out.

Have a wonderful week.

A Valentine's Day Gift Guide for HER.

Hello beautiful ladies and gentlemen,

Valentine's Day is in twelve days and most of you don't know what to get for your wife, fiancee, girlfriend or friend and leave for the last minute and start panicking because you don't know what to get her.

Yes guys (or even girls) this post is directed to you!

But if you're a girl with no man in your life (like me) you can still buy some of these gifts and surprise yourself - I know that this is what's going to happen to me haha.

1. Mini Mac Bag by Rebecca Minkoff - $195
Actually you can buy her any bag that you would like to from Rebecca Minkoff because every bag that she has is amazing and so chic. This one in particular is mint, it is made from leather, has studded metal feet and polished hardware, removable straps and the zip top opens to a polka-dot lined interior. It is also the perfect size because although it is not the biggest bag that you could buy her, she can easily stuff things in there without struggling so much.

2. Chanel Beige Caviar Jumbo Classic Flap Bag
Okay, this one is for those who always bought diamonds for her and now she does not want them anymore because she has a lot (but most probable if she owns too much diamonds then she owns too much designer bags, but you know what I mean!). Well, you can never go wrong with a Chanel bag. This is available in gold and silver metal and costs around $5,500 so you know it's not in everyone's budget but it sure is one lovely and luxuries bag.

3. CHLOE Chloe Eau de Parfum - $75
If she does not own this perfume already, you must get her one. This fresh, smooth floral fragrance evokes sublime powdery rose. The effect from it is a chic, comfortable and entirely addictive. Also the packaging of this perfume is to die for - stunningly beautiful. So if she likes a flowery scent, this is the perfume for her.

4. Tod's Suede Slippers - $445
If she is searching for a pair of flats you should consider getting her these amazing slippers. I know that it might not be an affordable purchase for everyone but if you have enough money or money is not even a problem, these slippers are the perfect flats for her. They are also available in blue and black.

5. Ted Baker Maisa Large Bow Wash Bag - £29
She has a lot of make up or just a make up lover? Then if she does not already own this, you can buy her this wash bag to put her everyday make up in. It is quite affordable and comes in four different colors - so just pick her favorite color and buy it for her. She will adore it!

6. La Petite Rose Flask and Cup - £12.95
She loves drinking hot drinks? This is perfect for her because she can take it everywhere with her and keep warm and also the flask itself is so cute - she will definitely love it.

7. Happy Jackson Gems of Insight Notebook - £8
If she likes to be organised, planning her weeks or just writes notes then this is more than perfect for her. Any notebook would do but this is a cute little one which is also cheap.

8. Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Blush in Something About Berr - £26
This thing is pink and in the shape of a heart. What do you want more? It has the prettiest blush shade that every girl would love on her cheeks.

9. Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette - $49
A chocolate bar looking palette? What else do you need? This is an eye palette with 16 matte and shimmer shadows with real chocolate scent.

10. Asos Clip On iPad Case in Exclusive Cloud Print - £15
This cute little iPad case is a nice gift for her if she wants to protect her lovely iPad. If she does not have an iPad or she already has a nice cover for it, you can buy her any tech cover for example an iPhone cover or a laptop cover. Protection is better than cure! haha.

11. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levres Glossy Stain - £24
Just get her one of these or both of them, she would be more than happy. Trust me!

12. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Film Camera - £69.99
I am definitely going to surprise myself with one of these. They are so cute and you can keep the printed picture as soon as you take it. Perfect gift ever!

13. Live Laugh Love Triple Photo Frame - £15
This is one thoughtful gift. You can just pick three pictures of you too and put them in these three frames. She will definitely like it because it is simple and you actually put in some thought.

So those were some of the gifts that you can give to your special one but if you don't want to buy her anything from these or anything at all, you can just buy her some flowers that she likes, make her a romantic dinner or take her to a fancy restaurant and you can just write her a love letter letting her know how much she means to you and how much you love her.

I hope that this post was helpful to all of you and girl if you want anything from the things I mentioned, just email this post to him or give him the link of this by mistake or you can just email it to his friend so that he will tell him what you would like to receive. Haha!

Also, stay tuned for a Valentine's Day Gift Guide for HIM. It will be here in no time.

I wish you all a lovely Valentine's Day and those who have no Valentine, just dress up nicely and go out with your friend, who knows maybe you'll meet him or her on that night ;).
